FORMATION FLYOVER
For several years, members of the Red Star Pilots Association came to Easton Airport for their annual formation training. Their team of Yak Warbird aircraft made quite an impression in the skies over the town of Easton, and led many to believe the airport was having an airshow. It was decided that this training event could be a great day to invite the community out to enjoy the airport.
The formation flyover remains the highlight of the event. With dozens of aircraft participating, it is now one of the largest formation flyovers in the U.S.

Planes will roar down the runway and toss out a rubber chicken in an attempt to hit the back of a pickup truck. Pilots look forward to this event all year. Some have even custom designed their own “chicken launchers” for their aircraft.
No one has ever been able to get a chicken in the back of the truck… yet. Could this be the year that happens?! Whoever lands closest to the truck wins the contest.
Many different types of airplanes will be flying in the Chicken Drop including: Yaks, RVs, T-6s and who knows what else. Pilots are in rare form and have been known to “cheat” with their chicken bombs.
Come see some fancy flying, all in good fun! We thank Bluepoint Hospitality for sponsoring the chicken drop.
AVIATION CAREER EDUCATION (ACE) TENT

Easton Airport’s Aviation Career Education (ACE) Committee is excited to announce the return of the “ACE Tent” to Easton Airport Day. The tent will house a variety of aviation flight schools, trainers, and pilots. Their goal will be to engage students and help them explore career pathways in aviation. Look for the ACE Tent on the terminal ramp amongst the static displays and other fun activities!
