March 22, 2024
On March 21, 2024 Jawauna M. Greene, Assistant Secretary of Maryland Department of Transportation, visited the Easton Airport to learn about the Airfield Modernization Program.
The multiyear project has moved into the construction phase, with large amounts of dirt moving across the property and signs of pre-demolition of the Talbot County Business Center (Black & Decker factory) evident. All of these efforts mark crucial steps in modernizing the infrastructure and enhancing safety of the Easton Airport.
Assistant Secretary Greene indicates where the runway will extend to with Project Manager, Lynn Kenney. Dirt piles can be seen in the distance that will be used to level the surface to appropriate height.Micah Risher, Easton Airport Manager, and Assistant Secretary Jawauna M.
