Talbot Historical Society and Civil Air Patrol Request Help with Historical Info

The Talbot Historical Society is reaching out to our wonderful community for any information on the history and founding of our local Civil Air Patrol unit in Easton. Does anyone know when the Civil Air Patrol Unit was first formed? We know some of the individuals involved may have been: Malcolm Hathaway, Bill Newnam and Ernest Coulburn

The top photograph is an aerial photograph of a pilot flying a Cities Service Plane, numbered NC3000C on the tail fins and possibly with the name of the pilot \”Stan Mannette\” on the pilot\’s side of the aircraft. Does anyone know anything more about either the pilot or this aircraft?

We\’ve had some help in the past to identify the young men in the bottom right photograph (from left to right): Roger or Sack Wieland, Donald Hynson, Don Dudrow, Ronnie Renshaw, Ken Shockley, Billy Weisel, Stephen Smith, and Bill Newnam.

It appears as though the gentlemen in the bottom left photograph may be the same individuals. Can anyone confirm this?

As always, if you have any more information on the photograph(s) above, please email or call us at 410-822-0773 so we can update our database. If you are interested in volunteering please contact the Civil Air Patrol directly: to Lt. Col. Archie DeJesus, Squadron Commander for the Easton Composite Squadron at 301-801-2184 or .
