Winter Weather Update – February 2, 2026, 3:30 PM EST:


  • Runways 04/22 and 15/33 are open.
  • As always, check NOTAMs for the most current information.

Drive-Through Gates:

  • Gates are back in service.
  • Please use caution, especially in the morning, as these areas may have refrozen overnight.

T-Hangars:

  • Our crew has been working in the T-Hangar areas clearing ice.
  • Please be aware that some hangar doors remain blocked, locks are acting up, and some small roof leaks have been reported.
  • If you encounter any maintenance issues, please let us know.


Public Spaces:

  • Landside parking lots are improving, though some areas of ice remain.
  • Please use caution, especially in the early morning hours.

T-Hangar conditions as of February 2, 2026, 3:00 PM EST:


Winter Weather Update – January 30, 2026, 9:00 AM EST:

  • Runways 04/22 and 15/33 are open.
  • As always, check NOTAMs for the most current information.

Drive-Through Gates:

  • Several gates are out of service or intermittent due to ice.
  • Please do not enter the airport unless you absolutely have to.
  • Out of Service: Terminal Gate, T-Hangar Gate Near Trident Maintenance, Gate near Easton Jet.
  • Intermittent: Gate Near NexGen Hangar and T-Hangar Gate on Airport Road.

T-Hangars:

  • Several T-Hangars remain inaccessible and hazardous with several inches of ice on the ground and ice sliding off the roofs, blocking doors.
  • Vehicles are entering and then getting stuck. Please do not enter unless you absolutely need to.
  • Expect full access sometime next week.


Public Spaces:

  • Landside parking lots are still icy in many areas.
  • Crews are working on these areas today.

Winter Weather Update – January 29, 2026, 9:30 AM EST:

  • Runway 15/33 is open.
  • Updated Time: Runway 04/22 will remain closed until at least 4:00 PM EST on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
  • More info will be sent this afternoon. Check NOTAMs for the most current information.
  • Multiple taxiways are still closed, expect progressive taxiing instructions from the Control Tower.
  • Use extra caution around the drive-through gates due to ice.
  • Reminder, Easton Airport does not chemically treat airfield surfaces. The sustained below-freezing temperatures will be a major factor in determining how soon we can open the entire airfield.

T-Hangars:

  • The T-Hangars and still mostly inaccessible with several inches of ice on the ground and ice sliding off the roofs in sheets, blocking doors.
  • Once the airfield is completely open, our team will be able to transition to these areas.


Public Spaces:

  • Landside parking lots are still icy in many areas and may remain inaccessible or have delayed clearing as we prioritize clearing the airfield.

  • Runway 15/33 is open at 2:00 PM EST on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
  • Runway 04/22 will remain closed until at least 12:00 PM EST on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

• Due to the major winter storm that has impacted the region, Easton Airport remains closed.

• We expect to open Runway 15/33 at 2:00 PM EST on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

• Runway 04/22 will remain closed until at least 12:00 PM EST on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

• Helicopter operations from ramps are permitted on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, upon approval from the Airport Manager.

• Use extra caution around the gates and parking lots due to ice.

• Reminder, Easton Airport does not chemically treat airfield surfaces. The sustained below-freezing temperatures will be a major factor in determining how soon we can open the airfield.

-Easton Airport remains closed today.

-We expect the closure to last until at least Wednesday, January 28, at noon EST.

-Our crews are making progress, but there are still several inches of ice on surfaces.

-Expect a full airfield update today by 4:00 PM EST.

Our crew has been busy since early yesterday, but Mother Nature is fierce. Cleanup is going to take a while as the airfield thaws, freezes, and repeats over the next several days.

Winter Weather Update – January 26, 2026 (Signup for ESN notifications: eastonairport.com/sms)

-Due to the major winter storm that has impacted the region, Easton Airport remains closed.

-We expect the closure to last until at least Wednesday, January 28, at noon EST.

-Areas of the airport experienced up to two feet of snow drift before ice and freezing rain moved into the region.

-Runways and ramps are now covered in up to 3 inches of ice with no braking action.

-T-hangar and business tenants, do not use any of the drive through gates. Several are frozen shut and inoperable.

-The roadways into the airport remain treacherous. It is advised to not try driving to the airport unless absolutely necessary.

-It may take all week to fully open all portions of the airfield.

-Reminder, Easton Airport does not chemically treat airfield surfaces. The sustained below-freezing temperatures will be a major factor in determining how soon we can open the airfield.

-Due to the winter storm impacting the region, Easton Airport is closed.

-We expect the closure to last until at least Tuesday, January 27, at noon EST.

-Easton Airport does not chemically treat airfield surfaces. The combination of drifting snow and sustained below-freezing temperatures will be a major factor in determining how soon we can open the airfield.

-We will make every effort to open Runway 4/22 by mid-day on Tuesday, January 27. If you know you have a flight, please coordinate with us early, and we will try to clear a path from your hangar.

-We anticipate it will take all week to fully open all portions of the airfield.

-Check NOTAMs for the most current information.

Public Spaces:

-The terminal building will also remain closed until at least Tuesday at noon.

-Landside parking lots may be inaccessible or have delayed clearing as we prioritize clearing the airfield. Some areas have already experienced 2 ft. of snow drifts. If you do not need to travel, stay home. If you are out, use extreme caution.

Winter Weather Notice – January 23, 2026 (Signup for ESN notifications: eastonairport.com/sms)

• A significant winter storm is forecasted to impact Easton Airport this weekend. Snow is expected to begin on Saturday night, January 24, with heavy accumulation and mixed precipitation continuing into Monday, January 26.

• We anticipate major operational impacts to the airfield. Based on current forecasts, users should expect the airport close on Saturday evening and remain closed for at least 24 hours after the storm passes.

• Easton Airport does not chemically treat airfield surfaces. The combination of drifting snow and sustained below-freezing temperatures will be a major factor in determining how soon we can open the airfield.

• We will make every effort to open Runway 4/22 by mid-day on Tuesday, January 27. If you know you have a flight, please coordinate with us early, and we will try to clear a path from your hangar.

• We anticipate it will take all week to fully open all portions of the airfield.
