Join Hunter. H. Harris (www.flayaloft.com) as he presents a look at a dismantled Lycoming R-680-13 reciprocating 9 cylinder, air-cooled, 300 HP radial aircraft engine. After exploring the workings of the dismantled engine in a classroom-like session, participants will take a short walk to Hunter’s hangar where you will see the complete powerplant installed in his beautifully restored 1942 Stearman “Silver Queen.” If weather conditions allow, you will get to watch Hunter’s mechanical marvel come to life.
