Easton Airport Project Update – December 2024

Tenants and Users of Easton Airport,

We are pleased to share important updates about the progress of Easton Airport’s Airfield Modernization Program. This multi-phase initiative represents a significant investment in the future of aviation at Easton Airport, ensuring compliance with FAA safety standards, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the growth of our community.

2024: Completion of Phase One
The construction phase of the 2024 Airfield Modernization Program is now complete. This marks a major milestone in our commitment to modernization and safety improvements.

Looking Ahead: Phase Two and Three

  • 2025: The former Talbot County Business Center will be demolished to make way for the construction of the new 6,400-foot Runway 4/22 and safety areas.
    • No planned runway closures are expected in 2025.

  • 2026: Runway construction will begin and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Project timelines and schedules will be communicated in advance.
    • Operational impacts and runway closures are anticipated in 2026.
