Easton Airport Airfield Modernization Program Update: Construction of Security and Containment Fencing at Talbot County Business Center

Easton Airport is pleased to provide the community with an update on the Airfield Modernization Program, a significant initiative to enhance the safety and operational efficiency of our facilities. As part of this multi-year project, we would like to inform the public and media about the upcoming installation of security and containment fencing at the Talbot County Business Center.

What: Construction of Security and Containment Fencing for the Airfield Modernization Program

When: December 28, 2023, through February 8, 2024

Where: Talbot County Business Center, 8712 Glebe Rd, Easton, MD 21601

The purpose of the fencing is to define the construction area and maintain security for aircraft operations throughout the implementation of the Airfield Modernization Program. The fence will be 10 feet tall and include a mesh screen.

Enhanced Safety: The fencing will secure the construction area, ensuring the safety of both workers and the public throughout the project. The fence will tie into existing airport fencing to ensure the highest possible level of safety for aircraft operations.

Operational Efficiency: The Airfield Modernization Program was designed to improve the overall safety and efficiency of Easton Airport, benefiting airport users and the local community.

Community Impact: We appreciate the community’s understanding and cooperation during this construction phase. These improvements will contribute to Easton Airport’s modernization goals.
