After years of hearing about the need for a dog park in town, Easton Airport and volunteers have decided to take matters into their own hands (and paws). But instead of just any ordinary dog park, we are creating a place where dogs can not only play but also learn how to fly at the all new Easton Airport Dog SkyPark.
That’s right – the doggie centric skypark is an all new way to think about aviation and ESN is leading the way. Not only are we providing the dog friendly infrastructure, we are taking dog training to new heights by introducing the Bonafide Aviation Resources for K9s program. BARK will have local dogs flying in no time.
Our aviation program will cover everything from takeoff and landing to navigation and communication, with specially designed planes for dogs of all sizes. If your dog shows particular aptitude, they might even have the opportunity to become a certified “Dog-pilot.”
Imagine watching your furry friend take to the skies in a tiny plane, soaring through the clouds with the wind in their fur. It’s the ultimate dream come true for any aviation-loving pup and no terrestrial dog park can compare!
“As a dog lover and aviation enthusiast, this project is near and dear to my heart. You could say it’s a “pet” project,” said Airport Manager, Micah Risher. “I can’t wait to see my two pugs, Lily and Lola, take to the skies over Easton.”
Of course, we understand that some of you might have concerns about the safety of our program. But rest assured, our team of expert dog trainers and aviation professionals have spent countless hours meeting with the FAA and ASPCA. Every dog who participates in our program is in safe hands.
So mark your calendars for the grand opening of the Dog Skypark on April 1st, 2024, and get ready for your furry friend to take to the skies. We can’t wait to see the joy on their faces as they fly through the clouds. Happy April Fools’ Day from Easton Airport!
