Talbot STEM Camp training day held at the ACE Center

We had the honor of hosting the 2022 STEM Program at the Easton Airport ACE Center on July 6. Students had a chance to use the hangar space for a variety of STEM projects, we had a great conversation over lunch about aviation careers, and they even had a chance to test their flying skills on our simulator during their break.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The Naval Academy Summer S.T.E.M camp is a week full of problem solving, learning, critical thinking, and team building for rising 9th-11th graders interested in a future in S.T.E.M. All funds donated will be used for the Naval Academy Summer S.T.E.M Camp. The money will be used for items such as clothing for the participants and counselors, food, and materials for S.T.E.M related activities.

During the past 5 summers, Talbot County teen leaders have created a fun week of engaging science for underprivileged elementary school children. The goal of our camp is not only to share science experiences with these pupils, but also to show them that everyone is capable of achieving greatness through hard work and application. STEM Camp provides an opportunity for kids to enjoy learning, while starting them on a path to rise to the level of high expectations. Following the example of their STEM Leaders, the children can begin to build a foundation of character development and intellectual curiosity.
