Easton Composite Squadron receives the Quality Cadet Unit Award

EASTON, Md. – For the second consecutive year, the Easton Composite Squadron received the Quality Cadet Unit Award. By meeting 8 of 10 requirements, the squadron ranked among the top 12% of squadrons around the country who were evaluated for this award. It also joins 17 (out of 24) squadrons in the state of Maryland, and 443 (out of 971) across the nation who were recognized with this distinction.

Established in 2010, the Quality Cadet Unit Award recognizes Cadet and Composite Squadrons who meet a minimum of 6/10 requirements which demonstrates the unit’s effectiveness in conducting the CAP Cadet Program. These requirements include ensuring a majority of squadron cadets are prepared to support CAP’s Emergency Services mission, promoting a high percentage of new recruits within a specific period of time, offering a robust aerospace education and training program, and educating its adult volunteers.
