Easton Airport’s Walk & Talk series a big success

Easton Airport completed the inaugural year of the “Walk & Talk” airport open house series last month. Management served many miles and smiles on the community airfield in the spring and fall months. There were rave reviews, engaging conversations, and great photo-ops for all the attendees that participated.

Hundreds of guests registered for the opportunity to have a behind-the-scenes look at airport operations. Walk & Talk participants learned about the Air Traffic Control Tower, operations, future runway safety improvements, and other assets found at Easton Airport. The positive feedback from attendees showed they appreciated the chance to come together as they enjoyed their time exploring the airport.

“It is always a pleasure to speak to our residents and neighbors about Easton Airport’s operations,” Easton Airport Manager Micah Risher said. “Attendees came with great questions, were interested in our rich history and future development plans, and wanted to know when they could bring their family and friends back for a visit.”

During the tours, management made stops to take photos of aircraft and equipment that were out during the event. A visit with the Maryland State Police – Aviation Command’s hangar was a highlight of the event. Attendees met the crews flying operations on the Trooper 6 medevac helicopter stationed at Easton Airport.

“We thank all of our guests for coming out and being wonderful participants, and also thank the airport businesses, pilots, and troopers for being accommodating during the tours,” Easton Airport Business & Marketing Coordinator Jeff Lankford said.

Easton Airport management is already planning to bring the series back in 2022 along with other great events. More info will be announced on www.eastonairport.com or Facebook @eastonairport.
