The next construction phase of the Airfield Modernization Program will start by focusing on upgrading the airfield electrical system. Beginning in January 2026, contractors will be doing earth work in the area east of the Air Traffic Control Tower. A temporary construction access road will be installed near Jet Lane, along the Control Tower fence. A new Airfield Lighting Vault, which will power all the airfield systems, will be installed in the work area.
There will be no disruption to the ramp operation, taxiways, or runways during this part of construction. Airport Tenants and customers are urged to use caution for increased construction vehicles and equipment on Corkran Road and Jet Lane.
